USB receipt printers on a PC

Print tickets from the kitchen screen to a printer plugged into the computer.

Any receipt printer with a Windows or Mac driver works this way, including Epson, Star, Bixolon, Xprinter and Munbyn.

  1. 1Install the printer's driver from the maker's website and make it your default printer.
  2. 2So tickets print without the print box popping up, start Chrome in kiosk-printing mode: right-click the Chrome shortcut, choose Properties, and add --kiosk-printing to the end of Target. Close every Chrome window and open it from that shortcut.
  3. 3Open the Kitchen screen, choose Receipt printer (80mm) and tick Auto-print new orders.

The Print button on each order prints it again whenever you need.

Auto-print is set per device, so only the PC next to the printer prints. Other screens can stay off.
