Terms of service
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms cover your use of Direct Dine (“we”, “us”) by the business that signs up (“you”). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of your business.
1. The service
Direct Dine provides software for food businesses to publish menus, take orders online and manage them. We provide the software only. You are responsible for the food you sell, your prices, your allergen information, your food hygiene registration and your dealings with your customers.
2. Free trial
New accounts get a 30-day free trial. We don't ask for a card to start. When the trial ends, your dashboard becomes read-only and your ordering site stops accepting orders until you choose a paid plan. We keep your data for at least 90 days after a trial ends.
3. Plans and payment
- Starter costs £29 and Pro costs £42.99 per month, plus VAT where applicable, billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe.
- We don't charge commission on your orders.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
- If a payment fails we'll retry it. If it is still unpaid after 7 days we may pause your ordering site until it is paid.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for and then stops. We don't give refunds for part months. You can export your customer list before you go.
5. Your data and your customers' data
Your menu, orders and customer list belong to you. For your customers' personal data you are the controller and we are your processor, as set out in our privacy policy. You must only send marketing to customers who have opted in.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Direct Dine to sell anything illegal, to mislead customers, or to attack or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Direct Dine running but can't promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we aren't liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you by email before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
