Connecting an Epson network printer

Set up Server Direct Print so your Epson prints orders automatically.

  1. 1Plug the printer into your router with a network cable (or connect it to Wi-Fi) and switch it on.
  2. 2In Direct Dine go to Printers and press Add an Epson. Give it a name (for example Kitchen) and choose your paper width. You'll be shown a printer address to copy.
  3. 3Find the printer's IP address: switch it off, hold the Feed button, switch it on, and let go when it starts printing. The sheet shows the IP address, such as 192.168.1.50.
  4. 4On a computer on the same Wi-Fi, type that IP address into a web browser. This opens EPSON TMNet WebConfig. Sign in; the default password is on the sheet or the label underneath the printer.
  5. 5Open Server Direct Print, tick Enable, paste the printer address into URL, set the interval to 5 seconds and leave ID blank.
  6. 6Save and let the printer restart.
  7. 7Back in Printers, it shows Online within a few seconds. Press Test print.

If it stays offline, update the printer's firmware with Epson's TM Utility app. Older firmware can struggle with secure (HTTPS) connections.
