Questions owners ask us
Do you really take no commission?+
Yes. You pay a flat monthly fee for the software and that's all we charge. If you take card payments, your payment provider charges its usual processing fee.
How do customers pay?+
However suits you. Connect Stripe, SumUp or Dojo to take card, Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout, add PayPal, and keep pay-on-collection or pay-the-driver as well. Money goes straight into your own account; we never hold it.
What happens when the trial ends?+
After 30 days we'll ask you to choose Starter or Pro. If you don't, your dashboard becomes read-only and your site stops taking orders. Nothing is deleted; subscribe and it's back instantly.
Can I use my own web address?+
Yes, on both plans. Point a domain like orders.yourtakeaway.co.uk at us with one DNS record and we handle the security certificate. Everyone also gets yourname.directdine.co.uk.
Who owns the customer data?+
You do. Customer contact details and marketing consent belong to your venue. You can export them any time, and we never market to your customers.
Do I need special hardware?+
No. The kitchen screen and till run in a web browser on any tablet, laptop or TV you already have.
