Taking phone and walk-in orders on the till
Ring up counter, phone, table and bar orders, take card or cash, and hand over collections (Pro plan).
Open Till to take orders at the counter or over the phone. It fills the screen and works on any touchscreen, an iPad or an Android tablet. Tap a category, then tap dishes to add them; dishes with sizes or extras ask for the choice first.
Choose the order type
- Collection: for a phone order, tap the customer box and add their name, phone number and the time you quoted (tap 15 min, 20 min and so on, or set a time). Walk-ins can pay straight away without details.
- Delivery: add the phone number, name, address and postcode, then Check the postcode: it shows the distance and fills in your delivery fee and minimum order. If they've ordered before, type their number and tap their details to fill them in.
- Eat in: pick the table. Orders sent to the kitchen go on that table's bill.
- Bar tab: pick an open tab or type a name to start one.
Send or pay
Send puts the order on the kitchen screen and your printers, to be paid later (on collection, on delivery, or on the table's bill). Pay takes payment now: choose card (take it on your card machine, then tap approved) or cash (tap the note they gave you and the till shows the change).
Collections
Every collection and delivery order, from your website or the phone, is listed under Collections until it's gone. Search by name, the last digits of their phone number, or the order number on their confirmation. Ready orders are at the top. Tap Paid & collected to take payment and finish the order in one go, or Collected if they paid online. For deliveries, tap Out for delivery when the driver leaves.
Open bills and end of day
Open bills shows each table and bar tab: print the bill, add more items or take payment, with an optional 10% discount and splitting between people. End of day shows today's takings by card, cash and online, and helps you count the cash drawer and print the report.
Printing receipts
Tap Print on the till's top bar to choose where this till prints. This device uses the tablet or computer's print window. If you have an Epson or Star receipt printer on your network (added under Printers), choose it and receipts, kitchen tickets and the end-of-day report print straight away with no print window, on iPads too. For a printer used only for receipts, untick Print every new order on the Printers page.
You can also switch on Print receipt after payment and Print kitchen ticket for each order, reprint the last receipt, or print any order from Collections.
Add the till to your tablet's home screen (Share, then Add to Home Screen on an iPad) and it opens full screen like an app.
If you're in a rush on the phone you can skip a required choice such as size; add a note to the line instead so the kitchen knows.
