Adding and editing dishes

Everything about your menu lives in Dishes.

Sections

Use Manage Categories to add sections such as Starters, Mains and Drinks, and the arrows to put them in order. Drinks sections are shown to bar staff separately on the kitchen screen.

Dishes

1. 1Press Add New Dish (or Edit on an existing one).
2. 2Enter the name, price and a short description.
3. 3Upload a photo of the actual dish if you have one. Phone photos are fine; we straighten and shrink them.
4. 4Tick every allergen the dish contains, and any dietary tags such as Vegetarian or Spicy.
5. 5Save.

UK law requires you to tell customers about the 14 major allergens. Customers can filter your menu by allergen, and anyone who declares an allergy at checkout is flagged in large type on the kitchen screen and tickets.

Sold out

Use the In Stock button on a dish to mark it sold out for the night. It stays on your menu but can't be ordered.

Quick price changes

The − and + buttons next to a price change it by 20p, which is handy for a quick price rise across the menu.
